How to Choose a Local Roofer
Hiring a local roofer can be stressful. How do you know you’re choosing the right one? How do you make sure you aren’t getting ripped off? This video explains some of the things you need to check for before hiring a local roofer.
The first thing to check for is transparency, licenses, and insurance. Ask your potential roofer for a copy of their licenses and accreditation. Make sure they are fully insured, too. If the contractor is dodgy about providing you with this information, then you should not hire them.
You can also check for referrals and reviews online. Many local roofing contractors will have customer testimonials and reviews visible right on their website. Ask friends and family for referrals to good contractors they worked with. You can also ask the roofing company for referrals.
When you are looking at reviews, see how the company handled negative press. Most companies will have a few bad reviews. If they responded to the unsatisfied customer with a solution, that’s a great sign.
