According to predictions from Realtor.com, 61% of the people looking at new homes this year will be less than 35 years of age. While 23% of home buyers within the Millennial age group are more likely to consider townhouses, Zillow indicates that 20% of buyers will choose to purchase a townhouse.

It’s also important to remember that Millennials and Baby Boomers both prefer living in walkable neighborhoods close to shops, restaurants, pubs, and other amenities, such as parks. This is the case with 56% of Millennials and 48% of Baby Boomers, many of whom may also enjoy cycling and other outdoor activities in addition to walking.
